Cook Islands dollar – the official monetary unit of Cook Islands, subdivided into 100 cents. It is pegged to the New Zealand dollar at par. For the present moment there is no ISO international currency code.

 

The first coins were issued in 1972, and in 1987 the first local banknotes were also issued.

 

Coins in circulation have nominal values of 10, 20 and 50 cents, and 1,2 and 5 dollars.

 

Banknotes are in denominations of 3, 10, 20 and 50 dollars.
